Abstract

Prison riots, escalating gang violence, and a rapid deterioration of safety conditions leads the government of a South American country to declare a state of emergency and enforce a curfew. The International Travel Risk Coordinator manages the response to evacuate the study abroad programs working with the trip leaders, program managers, study abroad office, insurance company, on-campus offices, and travel committee.
